Prosafe Q1: The Balance Sheet Did The Work

Prosafe’s Q1 report materially improved the balance sheet outlook and reduced some of the pressure around the expected equity raise to free the two additional units.

Cash increased to USD 87.4 million despite heavy SPS spending, net interest-bearing debt fell to a level previously expected at the end of 2027, and the remaining capex burden for this year is now limited. The company still needs new equity to activate Safe Nova and Safe Vega, and that has not changed, but the timing looks more flexible than it did a quarter ago. For shareholders, that matters. A stronger operating cash position gives management more room to wait for contract catalysts and potentially raise capital at a higher share price with lower dilution.
